LC Lauren Conrad Kohls

Do you still watch The Hills?

Lured in by the genius “The bitch is back” ad campaign featuring Kristen Cavallari, I got sucked into a Hills marathon this week – and, yeah, those are three hours of my life I’m never getting back.

Even though she’s hardly the girl-next door (unless the girl next door is a gorgeous, actor-fashion designer-author multimillionaire), there’s still something so appealing and relatable about Lauren Conrad.  She was in West Hollywood last night for a party with Kohl’s celebrating her new fashion line, sporting a sleek, flatironed ponytail and superdefined eyes.

mark makeup artist Amy Nadine explains how she created LC’s Look-at-me! eye makeup.  (Lauren’s regular hairstylist, by the way, is Kaz Amor from Warren-Tricomi.  Love him!):

“Lauren never strays from her signature winged-out cat eyes, so to add some instant drama, I complimented them with a black ‘smoky under-eye’.

Blending is key for this look and edges should be smeared to add depth. I started by lining her eyes with mark Get in Line Waterproof Liquid Liner in Painted Black. Then I used mark Eyemarker Color On Line in Jet a few millimeters past the outside corners of her lower lash lines. I drew a thick line that became thinner as I dragged it inward, stopping 3/4 of the length of her eye. I then smudged it gently with my pinky finger to smoke it out.

Next, I took my mark Eyeliner Brush and dipped it in mark I-Mark Custom Eye Shadow in Corset dusting it on top of the line a couple times to make the original line even thicker. Then I coated her lashes with mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.”

Gorgeous!
