If you are ever in Chicago…a must see is the bustling Michigan Avenue near the lake. Yes it is cold and windy this time of year but there is SO much to see!  There is the Drake Hotel where Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio have their names carved inside a heart on the old wooden bar, there is the breathtaking Hancock Tower and then there is the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.  A sprawling retreat located right across the street from the famed spot where Marilyn & Joe solidified their love, the Red Door offers a little bit of everything.  Spa goers can get the full monty like my friend’s wife did back in October or pop in for the classic signature warm cream manicure.

The Chicago location is located in the historic Palmolive building and takes up the entire floor of that building.  Also inside is the Spa Café which has become a popular place to hold a bridal spa party.  The best thing about the Red Door though is the option to get a la cart services, that way you can create your own package that is within your budget.  Men and Women alike can luxuriate here which is another plus.
