3 Classic Nail Polishes

When it comes to nail polish, it’s nice to have all the colors of the rainbow on hand, so your manicure can fit your mood and the occasion.  Sometimes you might want to mix it up with trendy green, navy or yellow…but othertimes,  nothing but the classics will do!  Here are Marta’s picks for 3 classic nail polish shades.

Essie Mademoiselle: An every day soft pink, great for making nails appear polished and demure.  It’s just a bit more exaggerated than your natural color, and oh-so-pretty.  Mademoiselle is the polish to reach for when you want only a hint of color on nails.

OPI I’m Not Really a Waitress: Honestly, is there anything more classic than candy-apple red polish? OPI I’m Not Really a Waitress is a blue-based red that flatters every complexion, and looks looks fabulous year-round, day or night.  (And the name is, frankly, hilarious.)

I will never forget Uma Thurman’s character Mia Wallace in 1994′s Pulp Fiction. She was fierce and chic, and wore a dark nail polish that looked looked like CHANEL Vamp.  Out of nowhere, in the ’90s, deep shades of burgundy were all the rage (even for lipstick!) and nothing was more ubiquitous than Vamp.  The dark nails trend is everywhere again–wear it loud and wear it proud!–but Vamp was the original game in town.
