Blake Lively’s luscious curls
December 23, 2009
We love Blake Lively’s bouncy hair at the recent New York premiere of Sherlock Holmes. (Seriously, how many premieres are they going to have for this film? We’ve already counted at least 4. As long as the stars show up looking so gorgeous, we’ll continue to be on board!)
Replicate the look with a little elbow grease, and the right tools: volumizing styling cream or mousse, plus a wide-barreled curling iron 1″ or larger. Expect the entire process to take 30 – 45 minutes.
- Apply volumizing cream or mousse to damp, towel-dried hair
- Blow dry hair with a large round brush
- Part hair deeply, above one eye
- Clip up the top half of hair, from the ear up to the crown
- Curl the bottom half of hair in 1″ – 1.5″ sections
- Unclip the top half of hair
- Curl in 1″ sections, alternating curls away from the face, and toward the face
- Spritz curls with a flexible-hold hairspray–et voila!
