For the record, I would like you to know that if there were a Billy B fan club, I would surely be President. Billy has an incredible gift that is rarely seen. He is marvelous at his craft and has inspired makeup artists far and wide. He has painted some of the most famous faces in Hollywood and the music industry, but most importantly, Billy inspires everyday people like myself to be passionate about what they do and to never forget where they came from.
Shannon: You have worked with many celebrities throughout your career, can you name one that you have not worked with yet that you would love the opportunity to?

Ford Artist, Johnny Lavoy, is one of the most sought after hair stylists and makeup artists in New York. He is the Artistic Director and founder of Moda-Rey Salon & Spa, the West Hartford, Connecticut business he started 18 years ago. Over the last few seasons his work has also become a fixture during NY Fashion Week styling hair for many top name designers. His resume reads like a who’s who list of the industry such as Michael Kors, Dior, Vera Wang, Derek Lam, DVF, Oscar De La Renta and many more.
Shannon: What was it like the moment you realized you were living your dream?
Beauty Expert Q & A: Green Celebrity Manicurist Jenna Hipp
As beauty addicts, we often want to know how to duplicate a celebrity’s hair style (Jennifer Aniston anyone?) or rush out to buy the lipstick Scarlett Johansson wore on the red carpet. But what about their nails? Surely there’s got to be a well skilled manicurist behind the scenes making sure those hands and nails look as well groomed as the rest of their appearance! Naturally there is, and I was able to track down very busy celebrity manicurist, Jenna Hipp, who has not only worked with some of the best in the business, she is also passionate about using nail lacquers and treatments that are green.
Shannon: Everyone who focuses on a particular niche in beauty seems to have had that one moment in their lives that evoked that passion. Can you recall the moment you knew you wanted to be a manicurist and more specifically one that focused on green nail lacquers and treatments?

Over the years my hunt for the perfect makeup remover came to a glorious halt when I discovered Korres Jasmine Make-up Remover. This tonic-like lotion magically dissolved regular and waterproof makeup without leaving a greasy oil slick behind on my face. If I remember correctly, upon finding this little miracle in a bottle, I called it my Holy Grail…a term I don’t use lightly.
What I love most about the Korres line of products is how they can marry the concept of innovation, natural ingredients and a decadent fragrance all with an affordable price tag. (And I don’t know about you, but often times price is the bottom line as to whether or not I will use a product again!)

Have you heard of Three Custom Color Specialists? If you haven’t, you should! This beauty brand is a favorite among makeup artists, celebrities and beauty editors everywhere. This is due in part by 3 C’s ability to re-create discontinued lipstick, eyeshadows and other makeup staple’s colors spot on, as well as their unique cosmetics collections . I was lucky enough to be able to meet two of the owners of 3 C, Chad Hayduk and Trae Bodge, during Fall Fashion Week 2007 and haven’t been able to get enough of their products ever since!
Shannon: I consider Three Custom one of the gems of the cosmetics industry. When first deciding upon the concept for your company, what were some of the things you set out to do to position yourself uniquely in the industry?
